Domain controller cannot find Windows XP Workstation

This seems to be a common annoyance. Plenty of answers on Google; I tried everything and nothing worked in my scenario. In my case, the domain controller is also a DNS, WINS and RAS Server. However, I was not using this server as my DHCP server. When I disabled my DHCP server and configured the server as a DHCP server, everything worked fine!!! Not what I wanted, but the problem was solved.
